Amy from Amy's Creative Side hosts the greatest blogger quilt festival each year. I love that I can go to her blog and see so many amazing quilt artists all in one place.
Here is my entry for this year's festival. It's my Red and White Charm Quilt from a swap that Karen at Sew Many Ways hosted back in 2011. Each swapper was to send Karen 125 5" squares cut from one red and white print fabric. I honestly have no idea which one I sent but I totally love the mix that I received back to make into this beautiful quilt. I hung onto the top for a few years (obviously since I just finished it up earlier this year!), but I have a good reason. I was waiting for the perfect vintage sheet backing. Yeah that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Here she is! It's approximately 75" square. I decided to bind it in a dark navy print to really frame the whole thing and give it a small touch of patriotism. The squares came from all over the world! 37 US States, Canada, Australia, Holland, Scotland, Malaysia, Slovakia, Israel, United Kingdom and Thailand!
How amazing is that mix I ask ya?!
The back is also very yummy and so freaking soft!
That backing is to die for!!
Just a glimpse of the binding process.
So that's my entry - head on over to Amy's blog and check out the other entries!!

Your quilt is beautiful! You did a great job on it. You know I love red, white, and yes, blue too! Hope I can see it up close some day before too long! ---"Love"
